What is Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic medicine blends modern science with natural therapies to support the body’s innate ability to heal. Grounded in principles of prevention, education, and whole-person care, naturopathic doctors address the root causes of illness rather than just managing symptoms. Treatment may include clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, lifestyle counseling, homeopathy, and hands-on therapies, all tailored to the individual to promote lasting wellness and balance.

Naturopathic medicine blends modern medical knowledge with traditional healing principles to support the body’s natural ability to restore balance. This approach looks at the whole person and considers how nutrition, lifestyle, stress, environment, and physiology influence health. Recommendations are personalized and focused on helping you feel more clear, steady, and supported in your day to day life.
Common naturopathic approaches include:
Clinical Nutrition: Using whole foods, dietary planning, and targeted supplementation to address nutritional needs and promote wellness.
Botanical Medicine: The use of herbs in forms such as teas, tinctures, or capsules to support various body systems.
Homeopathy: A gentle, individualized system of natural medicine that works to stimulate the body’s self-healing response.
Lifestyle Counseling: Supporting healthy habits related to sleep, movement, stress management, and daily routines.
Hydrotherapy: The therapeutic use of water (contrast applications, compresses, or baths) to encourage circulation and detoxification.

A comprehensive review of laboratory testing that helps identify patterns and potential contributors to your health concerns. This approach looks beyond basic reference ranges and considers what is optimal for you, which can offer a clearer picture of your energy, digestion, hormones, stress physiology, and immune function. Looking at labs through this lens often reveals subtle imbalances that may not be captured by standard interpretations.
When appropriate, specialty testing may also be considered. This can include gut microbiome analysis, toxin burden assessments, and hormone metabolite testing for a more complete understanding of how your body is functioning. I will evaluate and recommend the specialty labs that are right for you specifically, based on your symptoms, goals, and overall health picture. These insights help guide personalized, practical recommendations that support meaningful and long term wellness.

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands on modality that uses light touch to support the tissues and rhythm of the craniosacral system, which includes the brain and spinal cord. This work helps calm the nervous system, release tension, and encourage deep relaxation. Many people find CST supportive for stress, headaches, chronic tension, difficulty grounding, and challenges with sleep. Sessions often feel restorative and help the body shift out of a fight or flight state into a calmer, more balanced rhythm.

NET is a mind body modality that helps identify emotional patterns that may be influencing how your nervous system responds to stress. Stressful experiences can leave imprints that continue to shape how we react long after the original event. NET uses a structured and gentle process to help the body recognize and release these patterns so you can respond with more clarity and ease. Many people describe feeling lighter, more grounded, or less reactive after sessions.
